HEROBOX
Herobox is a really great non-profit organization that gives people an opportunity to sponsor an American soldier or soldiers serving overseas. A sponsor selects their level of commitment from 1 to 12 months and sends at least one customized care package to their “adopted” American soldier(s) per committed month. Herobox founder Ryan Housley of the Atlanta Braves was selected as a finalist in People Magazine’s 2009 “All-Stars Among Us” campaign for going above and beyond in serving the community and aiming to make every American soldier feel appreciated. Take some time to visit the site, and see how you can get involved.
HeroBox is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides custom support to our heroes overseas. Our mission is to provide items that deployed American soldiers need and want while they are away from home defending our freedom.
HeroBox engages America’s greatest resource, the people, to support our Heroes through a variety of programs and initiatives. Whether you want to Adopt a Soldier, Host a HeroDay or make a donation, HeroBox offer numerous opportunities for you to get involved.
A HeroBox is a care package that has been customized to a soldier’s specific request. The troops have certain needs and wants depending on their sex, location, and a variety of other factors. The typical care package that a soldier receives isn’t always influenced by those needs and wants. Our goal is to make sure that each HeroBox is directly influenced by the soldier.
